James has spent 19 years working in a large public sector organisation in the UK with extensive senior leadership and management experience before moving to Jersey in 2023. He has led departments of 120+ staff across a wide geographical area providing strategic leadership, delivering large scale change including modernising briefing systems utilizing SharePoint, departmental effectiveness & efficiency restructuring whilst maintaining optimal performance. He has also developed organisational performance frameworks as well as leading on the bespoke design of a brand-new department reducing and redistributing front end demand using robotic automation processes and innovative technology.
James thrives in the most sensitive, high pressure and changing environments, able to drive performance, inspire confidence and engage with stakeholders in a diversity of settings.
