States of Guernsey – Enterprise Shared Services Platform
Prosperity 24.7 have recently helped the States of Guernsey to design, implement and manage the centralisation and rationalisation of services to an enterprise shared services platform.
The States of Guernsey had a requirement to replace its ageing HP EVA based storage infrastructure with a new, suitably scaled HP 3PAR solution whilst also introducing a shared services platform to be utilised by all departments in the States.
The new solution, which included multiple HP 3PAR v400’s, HP’s C7000 chassis’ alongside FlexFabric and a new Enterprise level backup solution based on HP Data Protector and HP’s B6200 range, was to be commissioned within the client’s data centre facilities, with follow on transition services to migrate all existing data to the new environment.
How Prosperity 24.7 delivered for the States of Guernsey
Prosperity 24.7 were engaged in the design and commissioning of the new infrastructure, including working directly with HP Consultancy Services. A detailed and scheduled programme of implementation followed by migration activities were created, agreed with the client and executed on schedule. Prosperity 24.7 as a recognised local HP Preferred Partner expert company provide on-going support, maintenance & professional services in respect of the technology environment enabling the States of Guernsey to leverage their own dedicated private cloud environment providing elastic resourcing for the Enterprise level needs of a Public Sector Authority.
Outcome/Value Add Delivered
The States of Guernsey was extremely impressed with the level of technical expertise in all facets off the solution but especially in the HP 3PAR solutions demonstrated by Prosperity 24.7, so much so in fact that the client wrote to HP to applaud the level of service and technical expertise shown by Prosperity 24.7 Technical Solutions team. Subsequently the States of Guernsey were key note speakers at Prosperity 24.7’s Industry briefing earlier in 2014.

This platform is the key underpinning solution that will enable us to deliver a rationalised reliable service across every area of Public Sector today, from Education to Social Services through to Regulatory Control.
