IoD – Digital Transformation accelerated

The Challenge:

The Institute of Directors (IoD) was founded in 1903, within three years we were awarded a Royal Charter to support, represent and set standards for business leaders nationwide. We remain deeply proud of our Royal Charter and it stays at the forefront of everything we do as an organisation.

This rich history and core focus on our Membership was paramount when the IoD acknowledged that they needed to evolve with a partner that could not only provide technology, but understood our Membership Organisation whilst able to converse with authority to our Executive regarding IT strategy to empower colleagues to embrace modern ways of working across Pall Mall and our UK regional offices.

The Solution:

Prosperity 24/7 were appointed to undertake a full review of our Microsoft Dynamics implementation which resulted in the shift to Dynamics 365 for portals and marketing to greatly enhance our Membership onboarding journey. In addition, we received strategic advice and guidance which enabled our colleagues to undertake and control a full transition to Office 365, leveraging key technologies to improve and transform the way we work with each other and with our members.

The Impact:

The following is stated in the 2020 Annual report and accounts: “During 2019 a more seamless and faster online joining and renewal process for members has been created, alongside a continuing shift towards a new membership proposition, underpinned by a ‘Member First’ philosophy. The work that was undertaken through the transformation programmes, has helped to reduce both employment and direct and indirect costs, helping the organisation to deliver the turnaround and a surplus of £752k.”
