Prosperity 24/7 and the 17 other teams who participated in Prosperity Day 2025 generated an amazing £18,247 for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey and Kezia’s Fund through pedal power in the 11th annual Prosperity Day virtual cycling challenge which took place on Friday 27 June. The fundraising total will be split between the two charities and brings the total amount raised for local charities by Prosperity Day over 11 years to almost £204,000.

Cycling a total of 326km between them, each team of three competed in a fast paced 30-minute race using Zwift 3D race technology and Wahoo Kickr turbo bike trainers to see who could achieve the furthest distance over the ‘croissant’ route – a scenic but challenging cycle through the virtual Norman French countryside. Their race day performance was coupled with each team undertaking all-important fundraising activities, to secure their space on the podium.

Race day performance and charity fundraising are the two essential factors needed to make it to a podium position. It isn’t just about speed, but more importantly about, money raised. This is fundamentally important to the charities who ultimately benefit 100% from the endeavours and the purpose of Prosperity Day which is to ensure our corporate community has a positive impact for local charities.

The final three teams who went ‘head-to-head-to-head’ on a virtual velodrome race to see who would take bragging rights on race performance, were Mourant, Barclays and Big Maggy’s, who had travelled the furthest distance in their heats. Mourant were victorious in the race and topped the fundraising, so achieved first place overall and defended their title for a fourth consecutive year.

Overall winners – 1st place – Mourant, 2nd place JTC Group, 3rd place – Palmer

Race winners – 1st place – Mourant, 2nd place – Big Maggy’s , 3rd place – Barclays

Top fundraisers – 1st place – Mourant, 2nd place – HSBC, 3rd place – Palmer

Other participating teams were: Aztec Group, Bedell Cristin, Reto Finance, Islands Insurance, Ogier, PwC, KPMG, TMF Group as well as teams from the two charities and Prosperity 24.7.

Chris Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity 24/7 said, “Once again we are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in our annual community event for giving their time and energy to help us to raise an incredible amount to benefit two phenomenal charities. Many of our corporate teams come back year after year to help us make a difference to those who need it and it’s been great to see some newcomers this year adding a new dimension to the corporate rivalry.”

“We started Prosperity Day because we wanted to do something that made a difference. We could not have imagined the positive impact we’ve had on so many people’s lives. It is simply incredible what the local business community has managed to achieve together, since we started the event in 2015.”

Prosperity Day is back for 2025! Prosperity 24/7’s annual charity fundraising event will once again see corporate rivals pedalling furiously to win on race day and top the leaderboard with their fundraising total.

Since the first event in 2015, the event has raised almost £185,000 thanks to the teams of corporate rivals who have taken part since the beginning, many of them coming back year after year. The charities set to benefit from this year’s event are Kezia’s Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.

Prosperity Day will once again take place at Prosperity 24/7 ‘s waterfront headquarters on Friday 27th June with up to 18 teams, with three cyclists in each, going ‘head to head to head’ in a fast-paced virtual cycling challenge. Using Wahoo KICKR bikes and emulated Race technology, the teams will compete against each other to gain race day points which are then added to their all-important fundraising totals, the combined scores define who gets to top the podium. So, whilst it is important how well the teams do on race day, they could still be beaten across the line, thanks to the fundraising efforts of competitors. There are three registrations fees available, bronze, silver and gold, enabling the teams to kickstart their fundraising, depending on how ambitious they are feeling. All each team needs are three able riders and a keenness to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey and Kezia’s Fund.

Chris Clark, Prosperity’s CEO said,

We’re excited to run Prosperity Day once more in 2025 with the critical goal to raise essential funds for two incredible local charities that mean so much to our island community. Many of our corporate teams have scores to settle after previous years, and will do so with a smile on their faces, whilst they give it their all for charity.

We started Prosperity Day because we wanted to do something that made a difference. We could not have imagined the positive impact we’ve had on so many people’s lives. It is simply incredible what the local business community has managed to achieve together, since we started the event in 2015.

Prosperity 24/7 is taking its focus on the community to another level for 2023 and putting in more mileage than ever before to support local charities. Whether that be supporting an Atlantic row, taking on a virtual stage of the Tour de France, hitting Jersey’s roads to look for tortoises or taking on Jersey’s biggest cycling race, Prosperity 24/7 will be there.

Having raised more than £135,000 for charity over the past eight years through its annual cycling event, Prosperity Day, this year they are adding the Gran Fondo Jersey to their event calendar as lead sponsor.

The Gran Fondo Jersey is the biggest mass participation cycling event in Jersey, taking place on Sunday 23rd April to raise funds for Jersey Cheshire Homes. There are two categories; the 110km sport event for more serious cyclists and the 70km classic event which is open to e-bikes and cyclists looking for a personal challenge.

Prosperity Day itself will be back later in the year but this time at their new waterfront premises, with new equipment and corporate teams once again challenging themselves to take on a virtual section of the Tour de France for charity.

On top of all that, Prosperity continues to support Durrell and Macmillan Jersey through their sponsorship of Dragonfish Row and their finance director, Peter Wright who was part of the rowing pair along with Steve Hayes. They will be hosting a fireside chat with the team for guests at an invitation only event to find out more about the highs and lows of their incredible 3000 miles Atlantic row and hope to continue to help them reach their £50,000 target.

As part of their ongoing support of Durrell, Prosperity is also adopting a tortoise sculpture as part of the Tortoise Takeover Trail happening over the summer. In addition, they are sponsoring a small tortoise for the children of Les Landes primary school to decorate with a design that reflects the ethos of their school.

Chris Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity 24/7 said,

We believe that if we look after our clients, colleagues, and community equally, we will all prosper. By supporting these incredible events in Jersey’s calendar this year, we feel we are living up to our ethos. All these events will help us all to go the extra mile for these important charities.

Fifteen teams took part to go head to head to head in the saddle, with Ogier reigning victorious when both race and fund raising performance were combined to secure the top spot on our podium.

The funds provide essential resources to two critical local charities, both of whom have been impacted by Covid-19 and the direct issues this causes to fundraising opportunities. Our team were once more, incredibly proactive, as they were in 2020, enabling our Prosperity Day event to be undertaken safely and successfully at the Jersey Museum, whom we would also like to thank along with The Yard for catering our evening event.

Steph Gibaut, Head of Operations and Fundraising from Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey advised “A massive thank you to Prosperity 24/7 for this incredible donation! We are so grateful for your support. It has been an amazing year working alongside your wonderful team.”

Claudine Snape, CEO of Dementia Jersey said, “Thank you so much for raising this incredible sum for our charity, your support goes a long way, contributing to the costs to deliver activities and support services to over 400 people, affected by dementia, every month”.

Prosperity Day has been running annually since 2015, over the last seven years Prosperity, with the incredible support of participating teams, have raised over £118,000 which has been distributed to fifteen incredible charities. Next year, we are proud to support Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Re-Wild campaign as well as the RNLI Jersey, both of whom are ready to respond, whether the support needed is protecting global habitats and species or local residents, visitors and boat owners in distress.

We look forward to holding Prosperity Day on Friday 15th July, 2022 – registration will be opening soon – lets hope it is a record year!

A dozen teams saddled up for the Prosperity Day Peloton this year in one of the first charity events to go ahead in Jersey, post lockdown.

The event held outside at Jersey Museum on Friday 4th September saw corporate teams racing ‘head to head to head’, tackling a simulated but gruelling stage of the Tour de France on state-of-the-art turbo trainers.

Islands Insurance took on Ports of Jersey and Prosperity 24/7; Sure faced PWC and Reto CC; Accuro Fiduciary battled it out against Bedell Cristin and Ogier whilst Oak Jersey took on LGL and Vistra.

As all the teams discovered, there is a twist in this race as success is not judged by cycling prowess alone… Fundraising is just as important as pedal power and this year, after a tense virtual velodrome final between Ogier, Sure and Ports of Jersey, it was a tie for the top spot with both Ogier and Sure crowned Prosperity Day 2020 champions.

This year a total of £12,470 has been shared equally between Philip’s Footprints and JSPCA, with a further £300 donation received this week from Oak Group increasing the total to £12,770 overall.

Jo Nash, Philip’s Footprints Founder said, “Despite COVID, life carries on – babies are still being born, and sometimes babies and children tragically die. Philip’s Footprints has done its best to continue to support parents through loss but also in pregnancy to improve outcomes. Funds raised from this will really help us continue our aims to support Jersey families.”

Commenting on how the funds will be used, Debra D’Orleans, CEO at JSPCA said, “These funds will be a great help towards the costs of care and rehabilitation of wildlife, in particular exhausted seabirds which increase at this time of year due to the stormy weather.”

Jo added, “We are immensely grateful to everyone involved especially Prosperity 24/7 for this amazing challenge, they did an amazing job despite the logistical challenges”.

Chris Clark, CEO of Prosperity 24/7, said, “We were delighted to be able to go ahead with Prosperity Day, with the health and wellbeing of participants being paramount. We were particularly heartened to learn that this was one of the first charity events to happen in Jersey post lock down, with enhanced distancing and sanitisation throughout the event to ensure that people could ‘vent their fury’ more safely than ever in the saddle. All charities, big and small have had their fundraising hit hard because of COVID so a big thanks must go to all the amazing teams who took part this year to help raise vital funds for these two brilliant local charities.”

Prosperity would like to thank Camerons, the Cog & Sprocket and Big Maggy’s Bike Shop for supporting the event as well as the Jersey Museum for a unique venue and catering by The Yard. Our thanks go to the businesses that entered teams, those that sponsored their colleagues and last, but not least, the riders who gave their all on the day.” The team at Prosperity 24/7 is now gearing up for the next Prosperity Day which is set for Friday 18th June 2021.

The event involves corporate teams racing against each other, tackling a simulated tough stage of the Tour de France in an especially erected hi-tech marquee set up in Broad Street. However, success is not judged by cycling prowess alone as fundraising is a key element of the final calculations. The 2018 winners were Fitness First.

This year a total of £21,247.00 was shared equally between the British Heart Foundation Jersey and Jersey Cheshire Home. In just four years, Prosperity Day has raised £71,946.00 which has been distributed to a variety of charities across the Channel Islands.

Chris Clark, CEO of Prosperity 24.7 was overjoyed “This year we have exceeded any previous sum raised in a single year. It is simply exceptional to see both the passionate participation on Prosperity Day as well as the most important outcome, the fund raising activity. This year has seen an incredible sum of money raised which will provide vital support to two essential local charities. Every year our event achieves increased backing enabling us, in turn, to offer growing support to our broader community, helping us all to prosper,” he said.

The British Heart Foundation funds ground-breaking research into heart disease and the Jersey branch won the charity’s south-east region award for Fundraising Group of the Year 2017

BHF Jersey chairman Haydn Taylor said: “The money raised from Prosperity Day supports the life-saving work of the British Heart Foundation. Our mission is to support the research of the British Heart Foundation so that more Islanders can beat heart disease. The exposure to corporate organisations that events such as this provide is critical in raising ongoing awareness that every heart beat matters.”

Jersey Cheshire Home general manager David Lord said that the funds will support the charity’s £2 million Big Build project to extend and refurbish the home that cares for some of Jersey’s most physically disabled Islanders.

“Every pound raised from Prosperity Day will support the essential work of our Big Build campaign. The work is progressing well and events such as Prosperity Day enable us to continue to deliver critical services to a broad spectrum of the community every single day. The Big Build campaign is our biggest project to date, enabling us to increase the number of residents we can accommodate,” he said.

David advised that “the charity has been caring for physically disabled adults at Eric Young House for 35 years this month and during that time the demand for services has steadily grown. Increasing the number of individuals we can support will not only benefit the Island’s community but will also enable us to upgrade those areas of the Home in need of modernisation.”

Chris Clark added: “Our colleagues support a variety of charities throughout the year but Prosperity Day is where we get to pull together with incredible local businesses, it provides an event which is not only entertaining for those participating (or watching) but is an incredible day with a real purpose.

I must wholeheartedly thank our colleagues at Prosperity, all the participating teams, the supporting companies as well as the phenomenal charities whom we are fortunate to be able to support. Prosperity Day is a real team effort and I hope that next year, somehow, we can make it even better for two more great local charities.”

Chris Clark, CEO of Prosperity 24.7 commented

when we set out on this journey three years ago, we hoped that Prosperity Day could become an event where our corporate community could have fun by going head to head with their professional adversaries whilst raising funds for a variety of charities. The appetite to compete and exceed our expectations has been, quite simply, phenomenal!

Each year we set an aspirational target of £24,700, which we are yet to achieve, but over the course of just three years, we have managed to distribute £50,699 to a range of incredibly worthy causes whilst having a bloomin’ great laugh and a heap of fun watching colleagues, clients and our community pull together to make a difference.

You could not ask for a more successful outcome and it is with pleasure that I can announce that next year we are hoping to make Prosperity Day, bigger, better, louder and even more fun, all for two phenomenal charities – The British Heart Foundation (Jersey) and Jersey Cheshire Home – two incredibly relevant and prominent charities which save lives or help our elderly every day of the week. We are working with the British Heart Foundation to bring a novel idea to St. Helier so watch this space!

The last thing we have to say is a massive “THANK YOU” to every helper, participant, fund raiser and to every single person who donated something, large or small over the last three years to this excellent event.”

To see the impact that Prosperity Day has had in 2017, we produced an infographic which we share with every competitor to let them know that they have had a directly positive effect on Islander’s lives:
