Katie Falle Senior Consultant - Strategy & Change

Katie is an experienced statistician and data manager who has worked in both the private and public sectors in the Channel Islands. In addition, she is a qualified Data Protection Practitioner who has an in-depth knowledge of the local and European regulatory framework.
Key areas of data protection expertise include privacy risk assessments for large scale projects, data governance framework development and operations-focused privacy solutions including Data Privacy Impact Assessments.

Katie has a Master's degree in statistics which she gained during her eight years spent in local government and as such retains a passion for statistics and analytics. However, her current focus is in GDPR and information governance.

Her previous roles include the development and direction of an Educational Insight Team of data managers and analysts, a role where she gained key skills in change management, having successfully driven and overseen the replacement of the information infrastructure across almost forty schools and colleges across the Island.

Katie enjoys passing on her knowledge of data management and statistics to others and has designed and delivered training to professionals in a range of topics from applied statistical methodology, management information and data compliance.

Business Analysis Experience:

Katie undertook the governance of the newly merged Customer & Local Services (CLS) from Social Security, Tax and Customs & Immigration. This role included conducting in-depth data privacy impact assessments as well as other GDPR compliance activities, including creation of data sharing and service level agreements, documenting the data processing activities, advising on matters of legislation compliance etc.
Consulting in data protection and GDPR as part of the States of Jersey's corporate GDPR programme.
Defining business requirements for operational data and statistical analyses, ensuring that solutions are development to fit the needs of data users.
Successful delivery of a modern information infrastructure for the Department of Education which involved implementation of an automated data transfer solution (transfer of data from schools to the Department).
Successful implementation of a centralised database (SQL server) of Island-wide pupil and school information; involving multiple integrations and data migration.
Defining requirements for and managing the implementation of an internal reporting software (Tableau) which was developed to enable senior leaders to access and manipulate key management information and statistics using dashboards and storyboards.
