We are looking for an experienced and passionate Consultant Project Manager to join our Strategy & Change team, able to lead projects with limited complexity or assist on complex projects and programmes.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Consultant Project Manager to join our Strategy & Change team to lead and deliver projects with limited complexity or to assist on complex projects.

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate project management knowledge coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to effectively manage client expectations, whilst delivering and embedding change successfully.  They must be a keen learner with the ability to empower and inspire others to deliver successful projects

  • Developing and managing project teams
  • Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between stakeholders and stakeholder groups
  • Preparing and maintaining definitions of project requirements
  • Developing the best solutions to meet project objectives, requirements and constraints
  • Preparing and maintaining project plans, ensuring all activities, workstreams, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements are accounted for
  • Developing, implementing and updating resource allocations plans (other than finance) needed for projects, taking account of resource availability and scheduling
  • Developing and agreeing budgets for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs against them
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects
  • Developing, maintaining and applying quality management processes for project activities and outputs
  • Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
  • Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
  • Establishing and managing reviews at appropriate points, during and after projects, which will inform governance of projects by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies and continuing relevance
  • Establishing, and implementing where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and updating configuration documents as required

About You

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.  Together with strong communication, technical and analytical skills and an understanding of project management methodologies and tools with the ability to work to deadlines and be able to adapt as required to business needs.
