We regularly support local students and were pleased to welcome Ibson Reis to Prosperity for two 10 week placements as part of his HNC in IT and Computing. My placement at Prosperity 24/7 has been an invaluable experience, shaping both my technical expertise and personal development. Over the course of my time here, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, each offering unique challenges and insights into professional practices.

- Eco Widget Development
I contributed to the development of a widget designed to quantify progress toward carbon neutrality. This project enhanced my proficiency in JavaScript while highlighting the importance of eco-initiatives within a professional setting. - Visitor Sign-In Application
I enhanced an existing Power App by integrating features such as group sign-ins and automated data cleansing workflows. This project underscored the practical applications of low-code solutions and their role in improving workplace efficiency. - Automated Workflows
Leveraging Power Automate, I implemented workflows to streamline processes like shift notifications for the Technical Solutions team. These automations optimized task management and reduced manual overhead. - Network Implementation and Patching
Shadowing network implementation tasks and updating patch configurations using N-Central provided me with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management. I gained a deeper understanding of scheduling automated patches, maintaining system security, and ensuring compliance with best practices. - Strategy & Change
Collaborating with the Strategy and Change department was a particularly insightful experience. Observing project managers and business analysts in action taught me about strategic planning, organisational change, and the methodologies used to manage complex projects effectively.
